Dance the night away under our colossal blue whale at the Natural History Museum's New Year’s Eve party.
You're invited to join us for an enchanting evening under the sea to send off 2017. This unforgettable night of oceanic proportions is hosted in collaboration with Guilty Pleasures and inspired by the arrival of the blue whale in the newly redeveloped Hintze Hall.
Ring in 2018 with an underwater twist
Pick up your complimentary drink when you arrive and immerse yourself in the Museum's stunning surroundings. You’ll have the chance to make your very own underwater-themed headwear, explore the Dinosaurs gallery, tear up the dance floor at the silent disco, try your luck at Musical Bingo and sing along with the crowd for Massaoke before counting down to midnight.
Bars will serve drinks, including ocean-themed cocktails, and light refreshments throughout the night, and our shops will be open for you to pick up the perfect memento of your evening.
Get your dancing shoes on
Guilty Pleasures DJs will be spinning your favourite pop tunes and live performers will be tearing up the dance floor with you all night long.
Explore the exhibitions for free
All three of the exhibitions will be open for you to explore: Whales: Beneath the surface, Venom: Killer and cure, and Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
What is Massaoke?
An amazing live band plays the greatest pop, indie and rock anthems of all time and the crowd sings along, guided by big screen lyrics.
What is Musical Bingo?
It’s just like regular bingo, but instead of numbers, you mark off songs as you hear them in our Museum themed rounds, with the chance to win great prizes.
Dress to impress
Everyone is encouraged to come out of their shell and dress to impress, using our under-the-sea theme as style inspiration.
